West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today congratulated Kolkata Knight Riders for their victory over Mumbai Indians in the IPL's opening match.
"Congratulations to @iamsrk, @GautamGambhir and @KKRiders for the great win in the opening match. Very good start. Keep it up," Banerjee said in a tweet.
Kolkata Knight Riders launched their title defence on a perfect note as skipper Gautam Gambhir and Suryakumar Yadav drove them to a seven-wicket win over Mumbai Indians in the IPL-8 T20 cricket tournament opener here yesterday.
