West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today congratulated Team India for beating Australia by five wickets to clinch the ODI series and grab No. 1 spot.
"Congratulations India for winning #IndvAus series & now being Number #1 ODI #cricket team in the world. We are so proud of you," Banerjee wrote on her Twitter handle tonight.
Riding on all-rounder Hardik Pandya 78-run knock, India, chasing 294 for a win, registered a comfortable five-wicket win over Australia in the third ODI played in Indore to take a series-clinching 3-0 lead and grab the number one spot.
