Mamata holds administrative meeting on district tour

Banerjee was accompanied by state panchayat minister Subrata Mukherjee and Mukul Roy, who resigned as Railway Minister after the Trinamool Congress quit the UPA and later became a member of the chief minister's advisory council on economic and social development.

Talking to reporters after the meeting, Banerjee said there had been no development in the district in the previous Left Front regime and her government has taken up various develop met projects after coming to power.

Projects were taken up on roads, panchayat areas, she said adding work has started on tourism projects at Digha and Mandarmani and an eco-park project in Haldia.

 

The chief minister would be in Haldia tomorrow where she would lay the foundation stone of two factories and held a public meeting at Tamluk.
