A girl student who injured her right hand in an accident was allowed to appear with a writer for the Madhyamik (secondary board) Examination today following intervention by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

Pooja Dolui of the Vidya Bharati School was not allowed to take her examination with a writer when she appeared and was asked to follow the formalities.
