West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today laid foundation stone for construction of a flyover aimed at decongestion of traffic towards the famous Kali temple in the densely populated area here.
The project was being taken up by the Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority aimed at segregating vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
The proposed flyover would include a raised corridor of nearly 354 m for movement of pedestrians from the main road to a location near the temple gate, KMDA sources said.
