Goenka, chairman of R P Sanjiv Goenka group, and Dhanuka, chairman of Dhunseri group, thereafter took up the microphone to sing 'Aae meri pyare vatan' (Oh my dear motherland) with Goenka humming from behind.
They were soon joined by Trinamool MP Sudip Bandopadhyay and everybody on the dais including the chief minister singing Rabindra sangeet 'Jodi keu tor dak sune naa aashe, tobe ekla chole re' (If nobody responds to your call, then move ahead alone).
The inauguration speech ended with the national anthem with everybody present joining in.
Dhanuka had displayed his ability with the violin before the chief minister during the inauguration of Dhunseri's plant expansion programme at Haldia a few months ago.
