West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee may attend a public rally of the Santhals in Jharkhand next month to express her support to their fight with the BJP-led state government.
Banerjee today met a 18-member delegation of Santhal representatives from Jharkhand at the secretariat and listened to their allegations against the BJP government there and promised of rendering her support to their cause.
"Our state government led by the BJP is planning to curb our constitutional rights by trying to bring in a bill. We are trying to save our culture and our heritage.

"Today we met Mamata Banerjee and sought her help in this regard," Debulal Sahis, one of the member of delegation from Jharkhand said.
"She is a dynamic leader and has promised helping us in every way in our cause. She may participate in a public rally which we will organise in Ranchi in August end," Sahis sad.
