It was raining heavily when she visited the reserved forest. On her way back from the forest, she stopped on the road to pat on the cheek of a tribal child who was coming with his mother.
Later, she had a meeting with forest and administrative officials at Gachbari jungle resort.
"She took stock of the situation here," Jalpaiguri DFO Bidyut Sarkar told journalists.
