West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh said on Friday that Trinamool Congress' mass outreach programme 'Didike Bolo' (tell didi meaning Mamata Banerjee) will not succeed as most of the TMC leaders are corrupt and have lost their connection with the people.
He also termed Congress' opposition to abrogation of Article 370 as "inconsistent and lacking logic".
"TMC's outreach
programme 'Didike bolo', which was launched on July 29 in view of the 2021 Assembly elections, will fail as most of the TMC leaders are no more connected with the masses," he said.
Asserting that the ruling party in West Bengal will not succeed in wooing BJP workers into its fold, Ghosh said on the contrary many TMC workers are frustrated with their leadership and are eager to join the saffron party.
"Opposition of Congress leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury to abrogation of Article 370 is inconsistent. They are opposing the move without giving logical arguments to justify their statements," he added.
