Police today arrested a person for allegedly threatening Central jail's superintendent R K Sharma here.
Jagtar Singh, who is a boxer, was arrested along with his accomplice Gurjit Singh, police said, adding a pistol caliber 315 bore and Rs 3.86 lakh in cash were recovered from him.
The accused had allegedly threatened the jailer on phone for seeking favour to get harassed some jail inmates lodged in the prison, police said. He also allegedly threatened Sharma of dire consequences when he refused to oblige him, police said.
