A man has filed a complaint against his wife and in-laws acussing them of harassing him and forcing to convert to another religion.
The man, identified as Vikas Kumar Mishra, a native of Nirala Nagar locality, filed a complaint in the Court of Acting Chief Judicial Magistrate Prem Kumar yesterday against his wife Nagma Naj and her family members charging them with harassment and forcing him to convert.
On the directions of the court, a complaint has been registered against Mishra's wife and in-laws under relevant sections of the IPC, including section 153(A) (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion), 153(B) (assertions prejudicial to national -integration), police said.

The petitioner claimed that his wife converted to Hindu religion at the time of marriage and changed her name to Reshma.
He alleged that his wife and her kins started pressurising him to convert soon after birth of their son.
Mishra accused his in-laws of assaulting him and forcibly taking Rs 60,000 in cash and a gold chain from him.
