Man allegedly killed by wife following quarrel over fidelity

A 43-year old man, who worked as a technician with CD maker company Moser Baer, was allegedly killed by his wife in North-East Delhi's Gokalpuri area today, following a quarrel over fidelity issue, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Dhanpal. His wife Uttam Devi (33) has been arrested in this case, police said.

"The incident took place around 9 am. His wife Uttam Devi (33) hit him with a blunt object and then strangled him to death after a heated argument between the two over fidelity. A call was made by Dhanpal's niece who was present in the house," said a police official.
 

A senior police official of North East district said that during investigations, it has come to fore that the woman was married to someone else earlier but later married Dhanpal after giving up her first husband.
