A man allegedly raped his ex-wife and tried to set her ablaze three days after divorcing her under the triple talaq, police said today.
According to a complaint lodged by the victim's father, Gulfam raped his daughter and assaulted her repeatedly when she resisted.
He also alleged that Gulfam, along with his two brothers, later tried to set the victim ablaze by pouring kerosene oil on her, Dadri SHO Ramsen Singh said.
Gulfam divorced the victim three days ago, he said.
We have lodged an FIR against Gulfam and his brothers Naushad and Naved. All the accused are absconding, Singh said.
