Police today arrested a 52-year-old man, employee with the state-run Doordarshan, after he was allegedly spotted sunbathing in a naked state at the Sinhgad fort near here.

Haveli police in the district said the man, resident of Wanowari, was arrested under sections 295 A (outraging religious sentiments) and 509 (insulting a woman's modesty) of the IPC.

A senior police official said a group fort-lovers including some women, who regularly clean the historical fort, spotted him sitting naked in a chair and sunbathing outside the Doordarshan building on the fort today morning.

He hurriedly went inside when the group members ticked him off for 'hurting their religious sentiments', the police said.
