A man and a woman have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping a two-year-old girl from North East Delhi's Sonia Vihar area who has been rescued from Brij Ghat in Uttar Pradesh.
The victim was abducted from outside her house on Saturday where she was playing. As her mother Neetu Upadahaya could not find her an FIR was lodged by her at Sonia Vihar police station following which a massive search operation was launched by the police.
"However, the police soon learnt that one Raju and Totla living as tenant in the same complex were also missing.

"A police team reached the native place of Totla at Buland Shaher and on further clues raided early morning at Brij Ghat in Hapur, UP from where Raju's associate Geeta was caught with the child from the house of one Santosh, who too is his friend," said Additional Commissioner of Police (North East) V V Chaudhary.
Both Geeta and Santosh have been arrested while efforts are on to nab Raju. The girl was kidnapped by Raju who used to stay in a room adjoining to her house. He took her to Brij Ghat with Geeta and stayed in the house of Santosh, police said.
"Geeta has disclosed that the motive of kidnapping was to avenge a Raju had with the victim's mother," said Chaudhary.
