Man arrested at IGI airport with fake currency

Kulwant Rai, a resident of Nawan Shehr in Punjab, had arrived at IGI airport last night by Thai Airways flight TG315.

He was passing through Customs, when one of the personnel noticed a bulge in his socks and his jeans, and asked him to go for a check.

During the check, the Customs officials found nine bundles, six of Rs 500 denomination and three of Rs 1,000 denomination, from him, they said, adding he was immediately taken into custody.
