Harnand Singh, a resident of village Goh here, made an unsuccessful attempt to kill his wife and son, they said.
A case was registered against him on the complaint of his wife Baljit Kaur, a resident of village Goh.
She alleged that her husband attacked her and their son Karamjit Singh last night. Both have been admitted to a private hospital.
