Krishna Murarai Sharma, who is purportedly under a debt of around Rs 20 lakhs, entered the Mulipura branch of the State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur (SBBJ) with a firearm yesterday.
There was no security guard present at the time, they said, adding that he threatened the bank manager and other employees by brandishing the weapon.
The manager, however, on the pretext of handing over the keys, pushed him after which he was overpowered by a customer and one other person.
