Man arrested for duping people

A man, who allegedly duped several people of lakhs of rupees by promising them handsome return on investment, was arrested by the city police from Ghaziabad.

Manoj Sharma hailing from Uttar Pradesh was absconding for some time and was held in Ghaziabad yesterday and brought to Jaipur for interrogation, police said.

Sharma had attracted several people to invest in his marketing company in Bassi area here and assured them to double their money in 90 days, they said.

After collecting lakhs of rupees, the accused went missing, the police said.

Police commissioner Biju George Joseph issued an advisory warning people against individuals and business models who promise handsome but illogical return on investment in short time.
