The police has arrested a man for killing his infant daughter after her body was found in a well in Borta village Murtizapur taluka of Akola district.
Allegedly, a villager, Kailash Bandhot (40) strangulated his his one-year infant daughter to death on Thursday, after his wife failed to deliver a male child a month ago, the police said.
He has two daughters and wanted a son.
An offence of murder has been registered and the accused has been arrested, the police said.
