A man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife at their residence in Udhampur district, police said today.
Ram Kumar was nabbed in Udhampur district three days ago for killing his wife Koke alias Suman in Billan Bowli area here last month, police said.
During questioning, the accused confessed that he had murdered her with a farming tool 'boungri' due to frequent fights between them, they said.
Kumar had fled the spot after murdering his wife and the incident came to light when their neighbours complained of stench coming from the house due to decomposition of the body.
