Chief Medical Officer of Ghaziabad, Ajay Kumar Agarwal, complained to police that a person, who identified himself as a CBI official, was making threat calls and sending SMSes to him claiming the probe agency was going to raid his house in connection with the NRHM scam.

The accused allegedly also demanded Rs 20 lakh from Agarwal, officials said.

Police traced the call to one Anand Singh Verma in Bulandshahr and arrested him yesterday, they said.
