Man arrested for murder, other crimes

A man, who was wanted in several criminal cases including of murder and carried a cash reward of Rs 25000 on his head, has been arrested, police said today.

Imran aka Mota, 29, was arrested by Delhi Police's Crime Branch at Anand Vihar ISBT on his arrival from Haridwar, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Ravindra Yadav said.

"Imran, a resident of Usmanpur, is wanted in a case of murder registered at Khajuri Khas police station. He is also wanted in an attempt to murder case of Amar Colony and three robberies," the officer said.

"A close associate of notorious robber Suleman, Imran was running a gambling racket. In February, he had opened fire in Khajuri Khas area to kill his associate Ashu but a lady instead got shot at and died," he added.
 

Recently, on July 12, he had shot at and injured one Vicky in a road rage case near Okhla Sabzi Mandi, following which a case of attempt to murder was registered against him at Amar Colony police station, the officer said.
