A 23-year-old man who allegedly abducted and murdered his lover's friend in Ghaziabad's Tronica city has been arrested here, police said today.
The accused, Saurabh, was arrested yesterday by Delhi Police from northeast Delhi's Sonia Vihar area and a country-made pistol was recovered from his possession, DCP (northeast) A K Singla said.
According to police, Saurabh had an affair with a woman for the last three years and the deceased, Arun Kumar, was the woman's friend. Saurabh had earlier threatened Arun a number of times asking him to stop being in touch with the woman.
On Monday, Saurabh along with his father Subhash, who is an MCD employee, his brother Sunny and his friend Neeraj allegedly abducted Arun, murdered him and dumped his body at secluded spot at Tronica City.
Subhash and Neeraj have been arrested by local police in Ghaziabad.
