With the arrest of a 38 years old man from Karjat in Raigad district, the Thane police today claimed to have solved the case related to murder of a senior citizen in Ulhasnagar.
Veena Ramnani (63) was murdered on July 4. The culprit had run away with the jewellery on her person.
DCP (crime) Parag Manere and ACP (crime) Nagesh Lohar told reporters today that the probe led them to Sunil Kanoje, who once worked in the agarbatti shop ran by Ramnani's son.
Kanoje was arrested today. Police recovered Ramnani's gold bangles from him. Further probe is on.
