The girl was kept in the custody of the child line from June 27 last year before handing her over to Rajkiya Balika Niketan (juvenile home) of Ballia district on July 6, official sources said here.
The district probation officer of Ballia revealed that in the ultrasound of the girl it was found that she was pregnant, which was even confirmed by doctors of district women hospital.
An FIR was lodged on September 17 at Fefna police station in Ballia in this regard.
Police investigations revealed that the girl was mislead by two youths at Mughalsarai station while she was going to meet her father from her home in Nevada in Bihar to who works in Punjab.
Later she, however, managed to flee and reached the station where the Government Railway Police (GRP) handed her over to child line at Mughalsarai.
A child line employee Tilku Ram allegedly raped her due to which she became pregnant, police said.
The involvement of other staff members of the child line is also being suspected, they said.
