A man was arrested in Nabadwip town of Nadia district for allegedly raping a 75-year-old woman, police said today.
The woman yesterday lodged a police complaint alleging that the man raped her on October 21 while she had gone to an ashram in Poragachha area of Nabadwip, the police said.
On the basis of the complaint the police arrested the man and produced him before a court in Nabadwip today which remanded him to 14-days judicial custody.
