A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped and impregnated by her brother-in-law at Dante Kalimpong in this district. The accused has been arrested, police said today.
Arun Rai (30), to whom the parents of the girl had sent their daughter and younger son for better schooling last year, had raped her and she gave birth to a child recently, police officials said.
The mother of the victim from Sikkim Namchi area filed a complaint against Rai following which police arrested him and today.
