Police has arrested a man for running a fake movers and packers company and stealing household articles of customers on the pretext of transporting their luggage to their destination in southwest Delhi's Dwarka area.

On November 12, police received a complaint from Mohd Moeen, a retired assistant commandant from RPF stating that his son Mohd Asif, a Delhi University professor had engaged the services of a movers and packers company for shifting of his household articles to Assam but the company representatives were unreachable.

"Asif was transferred to Central University, Tejpur in Assam from DU, and had hired a company to transport his household articles to Assam. Asif had contacted an online directory portal to provide him few numbers of packers and movers.
