Man arrested for smuggling

A man was today arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle 2,600 litres of kerosene oil to Thathri for black marketing.

The kerosene oil was meant to be distributed among ration card holders in the area, SHO, Gandoh, Tariq Naik said.

"During routine checking, our patrolling team from Kahara police post intercepted an oil tanker and found that instead of unloading the kerosene in Bhalessa area, the same was being smuggled back to Thathri for black marketing," the officer added.

"We have seized the oil tanker with 2,600 litres of kerosene which was being transported illegally and a case has been registered against the accused," he said.
 

The accused has been identified as Sushil Kumar.
