Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested one more person on charges of spreading rumors to vitiate law and order situation through the social networking site Facebook, the second such detention within three days.
Continuing with its investigations regarding the mushroom growth of pages on the social networking sites spreading "false and concocted" stories to vitiate law and order, police arrested one more page administrator here, a police spokesman said.
He said the arrested person was simultaneously running multiple pages to spread "fake news" to create a "charged atmosphere to foment trouble".

On April 30, police had registered cases against some "mischievous elements" for spreading "incorrect and frivolous" information on the social networking sites about security situation in the valley.
Subsequently, a special team was constituted at cyber cell to identity these elements and bring them to book.
Police have found 13 Facebook pages, indulging in posting baseless information, and have registered cases against them, he said.
