Police said Harender was nabbed from Gaur Mall Crossing, Bisrakh, Gautam Budh Nagar, UP, where a trap was laid.
Police said Harender confessed to stealing a trailer-container loaded with high quality of aluminium scrap from ICD Dadri on March 1, which was otherwise meant to be delivered to M/s Sat Aluminium Pvt. Ltd, Bhiwadi, Rajasthan.
"Instead of delivery to its destination, he drove the truck with loaded container to Delhi in furtherance of the conspiracy hatched by his associates Lakha, Shiraj, Wasim and Munne and delivered the material to them," police said.
Police said the stolen aluminium scrap was later recovered from a godown located in Nihal Vihar, Delhi, which was taken on rent by Lakha, who had allegedly connived with Harender.
