Goa police today arrested a 42 years old man for accepting bets on the Australian Big Bash Cricket League.
Satish Soni, who hails from Madhya Pradesh and lives in Margao town of Goa, was arrested for accepting bets on the match between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunders, police said.
He was booked under Goa Daman Diu Prevention of Gambling Act, 1976.
Police seized five mobile phones, a laptop, a 32-inch LED TV and things used in betting racket.
