series of chain snatching incidents was arrested from Kavi Nagar area here today, police said.
Mukhya Lal, a resident of P P Nagar in Meerut, was nabbed during a routine check at Hapur highway crossing in the area and over 600 gms of gold and silver ornaments were recovered from his possession, they said.
On interrogation, Lal purportedly admitted to police that he had stolen the ornaments from different places.
