A man who was allegedly trying to break an ATM machine was arrested from an ATM kiosk near Nawada metro station in southwest Delhi, police said today.
The accused, identified as Munna Tanti, was spotted by a police control room team patrolling the Najafgarh Road around 2 AM on the intervening night between Friday (August 14) and Saturday (August 15), said a police officer.
Munna has been booked under Sections 380/511 (attempt to commit theft) of IPC, said Ranvir Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police (Operations).
The police also recovered equipment from Munna, who is a migrant from Banka district of Bihar, the official added.
