A man was today arrested here for allegedly trying to slit the throat of his four-year old son after quarrelling with his wife, suspecting her fidelity.
The woman had left the house with her daughter following the quarrel and when she returned to pick up her son, she was shocked to find the man trying to slit the boy's throat, police said.
She raised an alarm and neighbours rescued the boy and rushed him to the Government hospital here, where his condition is stated to be stable, sources said.
