A man was today arrested for allegedly possessing 54 pouches of illicit liquor here, police said.
Police intercepted a motorcycle at a check post near Laxmi Palace in Bohri area. The rider tried to run away but was chased by the police and nabbed, they said.
As many as 54 pouches of illicit liquor were recovered from his possession. The accused has been identified as Daljit Singh, they said.
A case under Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Domana Police Station, they added.
