A person was today arrested and 59 pouches of country made illicit liquor were recovered from his possession in the outskirts of Jammu.
During the surprise checking of the vehicles, one Harvinder Singh, who was riding a two-wheeler, was asked to stop near Domana area of Jammu, a police official said.
He said that during the checking of the two-wheeler, police team recovered 59 pouches of illicit liquor.
The accused was arrested and booked under various sections of the Excise Act and investigations were also started in the case, he said.
