A person was today arrested for his alleged involvement in fake currency transactions and counterfeit notes of the face value of Rs 4,000 recovered from him here, police said.
Acting on a tip off, Sheikh Hussain, a resident of Sihi village, was arrested from sector-8, a police spokesperson said.
Hussain used to print counterfeit notes in denomination of Rs 100 and made transactions in local market, he said.
An FIR has been registered against him, he said, adding that he is being interrogated.
