Man arrested with fake currency in Hyderabad

The city police today arrested a man for circulating counterfeit Indian currency, procured from West Bengal, in Hyderabad and Adilabad districts.

Police seized notes with face value of Rs 4 lakh in the denomination of Rs 500 from Gaddam Linga Reddy, the accused.

Reddy had got the currency from a man called Samsool from Farakka in West Bengal, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, commissioner's task force apprehended Linga Reddy at Jubilee bus station in Secunderabad, said additional deputy commissioner N Koti Reddy.
