A person has been arrested from Khairaghat area on Indo-Nepal border here for allegedly possessing heroin worth Rs 12 lakh , a senior official said.
Pattu Bharti was arrested last night during a routine check and 120 grams of heroin worth Rs 12 lakh was recovered from him, said SSB commandant K.S.Bankhithi.
The accused has been booked under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, he added.
