A man was arrested at Vivekanand chowk
Here today and large quantity of illicit liquor was recovered from his possession, police said.
"During the surprise checking of vehicles at Vivekanand Chowk, a tempo driven by one Suresh Kumar was stopped. Upon searching the vehicle large quantity of illicit liquor was recovered," a police official said.
He said that 96 bottles of whisky and 36 bottles of beer were recovered from the vehicle.
The accused has been arrested and booked under various section of the Ranbir Penal code (RPC), the police official said.
