A man was arrested and five kg of
opium worth Rs 5 lakh 8in the international market was recovered from his possession, police said today.
Accused identified as Bhagwan Singh, resident of Mehmda village of Ratia in Haryana, was nabbed during routine checking at Talwandi Bhangerian village here.
After seeing police, he first tried to flee but was overpowered by cops, SSP Moga Kamaljit Singh Dhillon said.
