A middle-aged man was assaulted and shot at allegedly by a group of assailants over some personal animosity at Nagla Mangali village under Jaithera Kotwali, police said.
Victim Ram Shankar was injured when Shambhoo Dayal and five of his companions allegedly attacked him yesterday with lathis and fired gunshots upon him, Jaithera SO RK Awasthi said.
Shankar sustained injuries and was admitted to a local hospital which referred him to Agra, Awasthi said.

The accused fled the spot after the incident, he said.
An FIR has been filed with the police against Shambhoo Dayal and five others in this connection, he said.
Police said investigation in the matter is underway, but no arrest has so far been made in this case.
Meanwhile, in another incident, a man was injured when he was allegedly attacked by a person over some monetary dispute, police said.
The incident happened yesterday when victim Ram Bilas, a resident of Wazidpur village under Jaithera kotwali, had gone to take Rs 20,000 from Satish which he had lent him earlier, police said.
Bilas was allegedly attacked by accused Satish with lathis, following which he sustained injuries and was admitted to hospital, police said.
An FIR has been filed with the police, but no arrest has been made so far in this connection, police said, they are investigating the matter.
