A man allegedly tried to immolate himself in front of the SSP's office here today as he was troubled after his teenage daughter went missing, police said.
Suraj Pal was, however, stopped by police officials present on the spot and a case was registered against him, Agra SSP Shalabh Mathur said.
Pal, who ran a tea-stall, said his 13-year-old daughter was abducted on July 25 by four youths and the police failed to either trace her or nab the accused despite a complaint.
Police said they were looking into his complaint.
