A 40-year-old man allegedly attempted to sodomise his friend's 10-year-old son in Aryapuri locality here, police said today.
The accused identified as Neeraj yesterday tried to sodomise the boy at his house after showing him some pornographic materials, they said.
But the boy managed to escape from the spot and narrated the ordeal to his parents who in turn complained to police.
The accused, who was a close friend of victim's father, was arrested and sent to jail, they said.
