A man was awarded capital punishment today by a local court which convicted him of killing four of his relatives about two years ago.
District and Sessions Judge Kishore Chandra Mohapatra pronounced the sentence to Sukru Majhi of Bhagatguda village.
In a fit of rage over a family dispute, Majhi had killed the four, including three women, with a spear on July 16, 2011.
He then walked into the police station and surrendered.
