Man beaten to death over property dispute

A 46-year-old man was beaten to death allegedly by four persons over a property-related dispute in Naipura village here, police said today.

The victim, Amarnath Pal, was yesterday killed by the accused, including Jokhan, with whom he had a long pending property dispute, station house officer of Unj police station, Vinod Dubey said.

Pal had complained to the police that Jokhan had been threatened to kill. On getting to know about the complaint, Jokhan and other accused barged into the victim's house and beat him up mercilessly, he said.

The victim succumbed to injuries on way to hospital, he said.
 

The body has been sent for postmortem, Dubey said.

An FIR has been lodged against the four accused and efforts are on to nab them, he said.
