Man beaten up for not inviting friends for birthday bash

Four persons from Saravali village of Bhiwandi have been booked by the Thane police for allegedly beating their friend who reportedly failed to invite them for his birthday party, police said today.

Kongaon police said no one has been arrested in connection with the case.

A few friends of Nilesh Patil (26), who runs Chinese food joint celebrated his birthday on December 31, 2016. Some of his friends clicked photograph of Nilesh cutting the cake and sent the same on the social media group, police said.

On seeing this picture some other friends of Nilesh got annoyed as they were not invited for cake cutting and birthday celebrations, said police.
 

They then called him to Babosa compound in the night and attacked him with iron rods, said police. A complaint was lodged yesterday.
