According to police, about a month ago, the victim had gone to stay over at her neighbour Gitu's house for night, as she was alone at her house.

As the girl arrived at Gitu's place, she offered her a spiked drink following which she fell asleep, they said.

Next morning, when the girl woke up, Gitu's brother-in- law, Pravesh told her that he taken some of her objectionable photographs and also shot a video last night, police said.

"Pravesh started blackmailing her, saying that she will have to marry him. But till then, she should bring money and jewellery from her house failing which he will upload her pictures and video on internet. Becoming afraid, the girl gave him the money," they said, adding but when she was fed up with the blackmailing, she approached police.

Yesterday, the victim filed a complaint with the police following which a case was registered against the accused and investigation is on.
